9.1 Access by Train (Directions from the Nearest Station, Sannomiya)
Ikuta Shrine is located in the Sannomiya area, the heart of Kobe City, and its easy accessibility is a major attraction.

From Sannomiya Station on any of the lines, walk north (towards the mountains) to reach Ikuta Shrine. You will come to a shopping street called “Ikuta Road.” If you continue straight down this street, you will see the torii gate, and if you continue along the approach to the shrine, you will arrive.

Especially if you are visiting as a tourist, the area around Sannomiya Station is full of shopping and dining options, so it is recommended to enjoy a stroll along with your visit to the shrine.

9.2 Access by Car and Parking Availability
If you are visiting by car, you can access the shrine in about 10 minutes from the “Ikutagawa Exit” or “Kyobashi Exit” of the Hanshin Expressway Route 3 Kobe Line.

However, Ikuta Shrine does not have a large dedicated parking lot, and the number of spaces is limited. It is often full on weekends and during peak seasons such as New Year’s Day, so it is important to allow ample time if you are visiting by car.

There are several coin-operated parking lots and partner parking lots around Ikuta Shrine, and they are easy to find within a 5-minute walk. Parking lots around Sannomiya Station, in particular, have a large capacity, so you can rest assured.
